Masters
I'm halfway through obtaining my masters degree after this Saturday. I will only have five months left to go. I've learned so much, and I'm already using what I've learned. My life is going to be changing drastically starting Friday. I can't talk about it, but my stomach is all upset over it... not in a bad way, just in an excited way. Sometimes the weirdest things happen so unexpectedly, and completely change the direction of your whole life around. Truth is definitely stranger than fiction at times.
JD Won?!?
Oh well, Marty actually won in a way. He gets to open for them AND do his own thing. Honestly, I think Marty's songs are better than INXS's new stuff. I was horribly disappointed when they played their new single at the end. It sounds like the same old stuff. I'm sure JD is a nice guy, but I really don't like his style much. I was actually embarrassed for them. I had to hide my face a couple of times.
I'm glad Marty learned so much, and I got to find out about him and the Lovehammers through this, so I have to give INXS credit for that. I do think the student has surpassed the teacher, however. I just have this strong feeling that when Lovehammers open for INXS, the audience will be there to see Lovehammers. If Marty really wants to pay them back for all they've given him, he should continue to open for them as often as possible, but it will only be to INXS's benefit. I feel that Marty is actually such a great performer now that even INXS is not good enough to open for him, no matter who he's singing with.
I was upset at first, but after seeing their new song, I was actually relieved that Marty came in second. I would have felt incredibly embarrassed for Marty, being trapped in a band going nowhere, and with old 80s style music. It's strange. It felt like "BOOOOOOOOOOO....... YAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!" hehehe... rock on Marty!!! I just hope Lovehammers play in San Diego soon. :)
